Sources and credits
Recovered from the archive, with the additions and cuts stated.
This is an independent rebuild of snowdonpharma.com, the site of Snowdon, Inc. The original pages, stylesheet, logo and photographs survived in the Internet Archive, so most of this site is recovered rather than written.
What this is. A replica of the company’s 2011–2012 site with the same navigation, copy, logo, palette and internal images, plus the funding record and the 2010 press release. The domain now carries no company site.
Provenance
Where each part comes from
- Company overview, therapeutic areas, technology, pipeline, management, board and news — the archived 2012 site: home, therapeutic areas, our technology, board of directors, management team, news and employment pages.
- Founding, founder and funding — the company’s own “About Snowdon Inc.” paragraph, carried in its 9 November 2010 press release.
- The DTRA-TMT contract — the same press release and the news page: three years, up to $8.2 million, with UMDNJ-NJMS centres directed by Dr. Nancy Connell and Dr. David Perlin.
- The 2015 property dispute — ASBCA No. 59705, Appeal of Snowdon, Inc., decided 20 May 2015: contract no. HDTRA1-10-C-0065 with the Defense Threat Reduction Agency; the appeal was denied and the government awarded $47,500 plus interest.
- Logo, photographs, flowchart and palette — the site’s own files: the mountain wordmark, six 230×160 photographs, the discovery flowchart, and the stylesheet’s navy #002E66 and orange #DF8A1D.
- Typefaces — the original used Arial with a serif wordmark; this rebuild keeps Arial for text and sets headings in Source Serif 4, self-hosted.
Photography
Two photographs added
Two larger photographs were added for layout, both under open licences:
- Laboratory glassware — Belikov Maxim, CC BY 4.0, Wikimedia Commons. Used on the pipeline hero and the home page.
- Molecular model — U.S. Department of Energy, public domain, Wikimedia Commons. Used on the technology hero and the home page.
- Resized and re-encoded only; both remain under their original licences.
The remaining images on this site — the logo, the six small photographs and the flowchart — are the company’s own files from its site.
What changed
Faithful, with the usual cuts
- Eight pages instead of seven. The pipeline is broken out as its own page; the original put it on the home and therapeutic-area pages.
- No ASP. The original was an .asp site with a table layout; this rebuild is plain HTML, one stylesheet and one script.
- The contact form is a replica and posts nowhere.
- Small photographs are used at their own size — the originals are 230×160, so they sit in cards rather than full-width.
What is not claimed
The gaps
- No clinical data — every program is preclinical or discovery-stage, and none is claimed to have entered the clinic.
- No product, price or partner beyond the named academic collaborations.
- No current status — the last captures are from the mid-2010s; nothing here claims the company is operating today.
- The market and disease figures (TB, toxoplasmosis) are the company’s own 2011 statements, reproduced as such.
