Our technology
The E-Prospector discovery platform
Snowdon addresses efficiency and productivity in drug discovery by integrating advanced computational tools with proprietary information technology, to find new drugs and to work through the flood of disease-related protein targets that genomics has produced.
Computational tools are the core of the process, not a garnish: they set the cost, the time and the success rate from the first day of a project.
A discovery platform, not a single assay
Snowdon provides a solution to the problems of efficiency and productivity in drug discovery by integrating an array of advanced tools with proprietary information technology, to discover new drugs and harness the flood of new disease-related protein targets presented by genomics.
An in silico library of 5+ million compounds
Computational tools select high-value molecules from a library of more than five million vendor-available compounds that can be acquired in small quantities for initial biological proof-of-concept studies.
Filters before synthesis
In silico filters — docking and scoring, Lipinski rules, ADME/Tox screens, cardiotoxicity, brain permeability and metabolism/efflux alerts — select only the most promising hits for further consideration.
From hit to lead
The platform allows rapid progression from hit to lead, and enables the company to generate prospective drug candidates quickly.
Chemometrics for product quality
Snowdon also applies statistics, chemometrics and pattern recognition to product quality and safety, transforming chromatographic and spectroscopic data on food, pharmaceutical and consumer products into models for visualisation, classification and prediction.
Beyond the pipeline
Product quality and safety
Snowdon also applies its expertise in statistics, chemometrics and pattern recognition to partner problems in product quality and safety, turning chromatographic and spectroscopic data on food, pharmaceutical and consumer products into models for visualisation, classification and prediction.
That work led to a 2009 contract with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration to develop computational tools for the rapid detection of contaminants in active pharmaceutical ingredients.
